Man MannBiography

New York flavor with the Philly swag. Inspired by life. Molded in the streets. Grounded in family. Destined for success. Man Mann.

The Brooklyn born, Philadelphia bred rising star knew from an early age that he was made for music and music was made for him. A prolific writer and talented hip hop artist, Man Mann is “Gonna Shine”.

“When it’s your turn, you have to capture the moment”, says Man. You’ve waited long enough. It is Man’s turn. His cool approach and laid back style will keep him on the minds of many, and at the top of the charts.

Man is no stranger to this industry. While “waiting his turn”, he collaborated with the likes of Philly’s own Freeway, Peedi Crakk (Roc-A-Fella & Def Jam Records), Tony Moore, Vidal Davis and Andre Harris, who are also the owners of Philadelphia recording Studio 609 and producers of several tracks on Man’s CD, Dutch (Untertainment Records), Ice City (Shore Shot Records), Brea (Atlantic Records) and Nick Jay (Philadelphia International Records), just to name a few.

Some of his performances to date include The Best of Both Worlds Tour, Jay Z and Friends tour, Freeway’s Promo Tours, Fort Valley State University, The Summer Comedy Explosion and the Next Generation Showcase Tour.

In addition to Man’s lyrical ability, he made use of his multi-talents through the creation of Son of Sam Entertainment. The company was named after his father, whose name is also Samuel. The company is armed with a creative writing team and relevant producers and ready to leave their mark on the music industry.

Man’s primary inspiration is life. He also admires and respects the talents of artists like Jay Z, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, Rick Ross, Wiz Kalifa and Drake, among others. “In many ways, I can relate to the way they came up in this business. They stayed the course and waited their turn”, says Man.

These days you can find Man in the studio working on new music, writing and meeting with various labels to find a partner in his upcoming album.

An Interview with the Man

What is your take on today’s music industry?

The music industry is a lot different than it used to be. All of the artists or on the next level, lyrically.

What do you think is your best song?

I would have to say “Paper”. It’s a party starter and the video was a lot of fun to make. Good times are hard to find these days and that song is definitely a feel good song.

What do you think it takes to make it in the music industry?

You have to make good music, have great performances and a well planned marketing strategy.

What is the difference between you and the next artist?

I have amazing stage presence and my music is for everyone.

What made you want to get into the music business?

Being around other recording artists and seeing their passion, and I have to admit that the potential cash flow was also a factor (laughs).

Who are your favorite artists?

Jay Z, 50 Cent, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Lil Wayne, among others.

Who makes your beats?

Dre & Vidal (Andre Harris & Vidal Davis)

What do you want people to know about Man Mann?

That I’m a regular kind of guy with passion and extraordinary talent.
